Cozy Knitting Projects for Fall
Now let’s get into these gorgeous knitting projects and I’ll start off by sharing what I’m currently making for this fall.
Cowboys & Angels Shawl
This is the Cowboys and Angels Shawl designed by Isabel Kraemer. She is one of my favorite knitwear designers and I made her shawl A Girl’s Best Friend several years ago and I’ve wanted to make another one of her designs ever since.
For this project I’m using Malabrigo Arroyo in the color Eternidad. It is a gorgeous DK/Sport 100% Superwash Wool. This yarn has the colors burgundy, gold, persimmon and even olive tones. It is absolutely spectacular. What’s even better is that I got this yarn at a steal. My local yarn shop is moving and they were liquidating their entire store and everything was 40% off. These babies had to come home with me.
I wound this yarn into cakes right away because I was going to use it immediately. But I recently discovered that it’s not good to wind yarn that you’re not planning on using for a while because it can cause the yarn to stretch which can distort your gauge and lead to a loss of elasticity. I didn’t know that, so from this point forward I will wait to wind yarns until I am ready to use them.

Autumnal Pumpkin Squash Wreath
The next knitting project is the Autumnal Pumpkin Squash Wreath by Felicity Jane Patterns. This is such a beautiful fall wreath full of knitted pumpkins and colorful leaves.
