Honey, Get Control of Your WIPs
It’s time to crush your WIPs (works in progress) once and for all. Honey, Get Control of Your WIPs is a simple step-by-step plan for tackling those projects languishing in WIP-land. We all know WIPs take up valuable space in our homes, but studies have proven they cause mental anxiety as well.
We all have WIPs. I don’t know a single crafty human who doesn’t. They sit in our craft rooms, are tucked in dark closets and have been shoved under our beds. Not only are they causing clutter, studies show that unfinished projects actually cause us mental distress.
A person with a clear purpose will make progress, even on the toughest road. A person with no purpose will make no progress, even on the smoothest road.

Crush Your WIPs
Until recently I was in denial. I’ve frequently called myself a “one-WIP-gal”. How arrogant and foolish I’ve been. The other day I literally came to the realization that I have FOUR WIPs. Four. I have four WIPs. Every time I say it, I still can’t believe it’s true.
How I got myself into this predicament is less important than how I am going to tackle each one.
Honey, Get Control of Your WIPs
Enter the Honey, Get Control of Your WIPs printable. I created this system to help myself and I KNOW it will help you too.
Do you ever feel like this…. Thursday morning, you’re scrolling through Instagram and you stumble upon the most gorgeous granny square blanket from Attic 24. She just released her new yarn pack and free pattern. These. Are. Your. Colors. You’re already imaging yourself snuggled up under it while sipping hot cocoa and binge watching Outlander. But then the dreaded guilt begins creeping in. You can’t start another project. You’ve got eight you haven’t touched in weeks. UGH.
Girlfriend, I got you. You don’t have to feel like this anymore. After going through the Honey, Get Control of Your WIPs printable you will be able to start crocheting and knitting right away and not feel one bit remorseful about it.
Under conditions of complexity, not only are checklists a help, they are required for success.

Instead of feeling that dread, that GUILT from starting yet another project, you get cracking right away because you, my friend, are in control of your WIPs.
There are seven actionable steps in Honey, Get Control of Your WIPs with space to write and check off each action taken. Each step is simple and easy to accomplish. By breaking the process down into bite sized pieces, you will not only feel great about your progress, you are actually going to tackle ALL of those projects (even that one hiding under your bed that you don’t like to think about). Yes, that one too.

What People Are Saying About Honey, Get Control of Your WIPs
Katie (Crafty Woman Extraordinaire) said:
I have “startitis†in the worst way. I begin new projects, hopeful and excited, but at the first sign of trouble, or getting bogged down in endless garter stitches or too many purls, I put them down, shove them to the back of my craft room corners and put them out of my mind. Unfortunately, that doesn’t work: I can feel those wips and the guilt gets to me. I vow to finish and then I am overwhelmed by the number of projects that I leave unfinished. Without a deadline, I am doomed to failure.
Thankfully there is a solution! LePetitSaint crochet has created a very helpful set of printable pages to help me get back on track with these ULOs (unidentified lying objects) and I already have trimmed down nine WIPS, to four, making my progress entirely doable. With step-by-step instructions, these pages will help crafters to be more successful at finishing preexisting projects and ultimately to be fulfilled in creating.
Janine from Capital Crochet commented:
This is a really cute organization tool. I especially like the part with the Actionable Steps, since it gives the maker something to look forward to; they can see a purpose in letting that wip go. The individual cards are also beautiful reminders of your work plan that you can tack up on a vision board, or tuck neatly into your planner. I think they will appeal to scrapbooking types and visually stimulated folks who like pretty things.

Dawn from Dawn’s Days
Such a simple but effective way of getting on top of projects and weeding out the ones that are just not shouting “finish me”. Its like a having a fun, but honest, chat with your conscience and coming out at the end feeling yes, finally, I’m only doing the fun stuff from now on! Bravo Elise, this is a must for the serial WIPer to do several times a year. Thank you!

I think this printable is great, it’s like the KonMari for WIPs. It does a really good job of analyzing, prioritizing and completing the many WIPs so many of us makers have.

Thank you so much! I’m so glad you liked it!! 😘😘😘
What a great idea! I currently have 4 WIP but I’m ok with that. Some require more concentration than I can give them with a 3 year old running around. Others are seasonal which provides a natural deadline. I do suffer from collecting patterns and yarn at the moment… stocking up for future WIPs. Lol
Haha! Collecting for future projects definitely doesn’t count! And I don’t think 4 is bad at all!
I have so many 😩 at least 6
Lol! I know the struggle!
