Amigurumi Festival Christmas Edition
The Christmas Amigurumi Festival is here!!
This special event was organized by The Sewing Box Magazine in which 25 designers from all over the world have collaborated to create a brand new bundle of amigurumi patterns.
This year, the Festival aims to work as a tour through all the designer’s countries and showcase their Christmas traditions with animals, dolls, magical beings, traditional dishes, costumes, puppets and more.
There are 25 amigurumi patterns for all 25 days of Advent! The patterns are simpler so that you can make as many as you can for Christmas gifts for your family and friends (and hopefully you’ll be able to keep a few for yourself).
The bundle also includes a short eBook containing Christmas tales, anecdotes and recipes provided by the contributors. These amigurumi designers hail from many different corners of the world like:
- United States
The Christmas Amigurumi Festival is only available from November 21st through December 4th, 2023. Each one of the patterns will be available in English and Spanish and the cost is $21.50. That’s an amazing value for 25 different amigurumi patterns.
Snowman Finger Puppets
My contribution this year is the Snowman Finger Puppets.
Meet Snowball, Blizzard, and Chilly. They love winter adventures. They toboggan down hills, have snowball fights, and build the tallest snow forts. With frosty grins, they warm up with a cup of hot cocoa, with marshmallows on top of course!Elise Rose Crochet
These little snowmen work up so quickly and will be a hit for all those on Santa’s nice list (maybe even a few on the naughty list too).
I had so much fun designing each one! What is most surprising is that they all came out with their very own personality. Even as I tried to make them exactly alike, they all look different!
I’m a big believer that when you give a handmade present, the packaging is almost as important as the gift itself.
Over the years I’ve handmade little tags for my makes, but this year I doing something new and rather exciting!
With Wunderlabel you can design your own individual labels online with your logo or simply with text and symbols. It’s very simple to do and these will elevate any handmade gifts you’re making this year.
I chose to design personalized leather labels that are perfect for crocheted hats, blankets, sweaters and even amigurumi toys.
I’ve added the leather label to the back of Petunia Petalmouse, my brand new amigurumi pattern and I love how professional it looks! These are very high quality and what I really like is that you can see the text very clearly. It also comes with the screws needed to attach them to any of your handmade items.
In addition to the leather labels I also got hang tags with my logo printed on them. I love that you can customize them by choosing the shape, color and style you want. You can use your own logo or just type in the text you want. You can also choose between lots of different symbols to truly personalize your tags.
I also ended up getting a pack of stickers with my logo on them as well as my very first business cards! I feel so professional now, lol!
What’s even better is that Wunderlabel is offering you all 20% off your next order with the code:
Thank you so much to Wunderlabel for sponsoring today’s post!
I want to introduce to you one of my favorite amigurumi designers! Her name is Emily from Sweet Creek Patterns and you all are going to love her to pieces.

It’s in the shape of a fish with fur trim and is the perfect size for stuffing all of Pickle’s favorite treats inside!
This adorable Cat Christmas Stocking FREE crochet pattern features luxury Faux Fur yarn and is puuur-fect for your favorite cats during the Christmas season. Hang it next to the family’s stockings and fill it full of goodies. The finished size of this stocking measures 12” tall by 6” wide, which is a little smaller than the standard stocking size.Sweet Creek Patterns
She has the FREE pattern on her blog but you also have the option of purchasing the downloadable pattern.
In addition she has a video tutorial so that you can follow along while you make your favorite kitty cat a stocking for Christmas!
But don’t think that Emily has forgotten about the dogs and humans in our lives who need stockings too!

Festive Puff Stitch Tree
I know I’ve given you a lot of ideas but hang with me because I’ve got a few more!
These Festive Puff Stitch Trees by MJ’s Off The Hook Designs are modern and cozy all at the same time.
What is so special about these crocheted trees is that the stitch pattern allows for light to filter through so that you can put your favorite battery lights inside. This will create the perfect ambiance for a cold winter night.
I love that you can crochet these with any color that works with your Christmas decor colors. I’m a traditionalist and would make these in white and green. But I love how Michelle has made them in blues, green and gray.
Grinch Amigurumi Christmas Ornament
One of my favorite Christmas movies of all time is How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I remember watching this movie when I was little girl and being so angry that the little green man would go into the home’s of the unsuspecting villagers of Whoville and take their Christmas presents.
But now as an adult I can appreciate the beautiful message of how the Grinch transformed from a greedy cold hearted being to a generous, beloved member of Whoville.
And what happened, then? Well, in Whoville they say – that the Grinch’s small heart grew three sizes that day. And then – the true meaning of Christmas came through, and the Grinch found the strength of *ten* Grinches, plus two!How the Grinch Stole Christmas
This Grinch Amigurumi Christmas Ornament is a free pattern by Little Crochet Farm. I love the Grinch’s sweet little smile and his little tuft of green hair on his head.
You’ll not only find the free pattern on Ana’s blog, but a video tutorial as well!
Jillian from Spin a Yarn Crochet is another one of my favorite designers. She has a brand new Christmas elf amigurumi ornament pattern for free on her blog!
This one is so incredibly adorable, but you’ll also find many other Christmas crochet ornament patterns on her blog!
Crochet Flat Christmas Tree
The Crochet Flat Christmas Tree is an amazing pattern that is so versatile and can be used as a garland, ornament or for gift wrapping!
It’s the perfect stash buster and the pattern is completely free!
We can thank Jessica from Stitching Together for this pattern. She’s such a talented designer and has so many amazing patterns on her blog.
