This is the second book in the Iconic Women series by Carla Mitrani of Amour Fou Crochet.

There are fifteen new iconic women to crochet including Queen Elizabeth I, Mary Shelley, Helen Keller and my favorite… DOLLY PARTON!

I cannot begin to tell you how much I love Dolly Parton. She is originally from East Tennessee which is a place that is near and dear to my heart. I love her music and her life story is completing fascinating.

That will be the first project I make from this book!

Lee is such an incredible crochet designer and you will be seeing another new book of hers on my list.

This book is stunning, absolutely stunning.

Only Yoking contains 12 top-down knitting patterns for seamless yoke sweaters.

You’ll find beautiful colorwork patterns as well as gorgeous cables.

I don’t have a favorite pattern but three that stand out to me are the Josie, Opal and Daisie. They are all so beautiful.

I’ve never tried mosaic knitting before, but after looking through this book I want to!

I also didn’t know what mosaic knitting was but here’s a simple explanation from the book:

In a nutshell, mosaic patterns are created by using one color for two rows and slipping stitches from the row below, and then switching to the other colors for two rows, slipping stitches from the previous row.

Aquatic Amgigurumi is a book that I have had my eye on for quite some time. Natasha from Natura Crochet has the most unique designs and I am here for it.

Natasha has designed a school of splendid amigurumi who live underneath and near the water, and you can happily plunge into their unique marine world. Let’s search for sunken treasures together with Joni the Goldfish, or watch the starry night sky with Boris the Fisherman. And how about baking a cherry pie with Valentin the Pirate? This book will show you plenty of adorable and interesting characters who’ll make a happy splash in your yarn stash!

I’ve been a big fan of The Office for years. I even have my own I Heart Jim mug.

When I saw this little kit and pattern booklet designed by Allison Hoffman from Crafty is Cool I had to have it.

What’s really fun is that it’s not just a pattern book, but a kit that comes with everything you need to make Pam and Jim.

They are too cute.

I grew up in the 80s and one of my mom’s favorite shows was Golden Girls. We would laugh at the antics of Sophia, Dorothy, Blanche and Rose.

All the patterns were designed by Allison Hoffman of Crafty is Cool and also comes with a little kit for crocheting Sophia.

We’ve all seen the adorable Woobles kits that teach people how to make amigurumi, but did you know they have a book too?

We can thank the Woobles for introducing a whole new generation of people to crocheting amigurumi.

Organizing my Crochet & Knitting Library

Since I have quite a few new books I thought it would be a good time to reorganize all of my crafting books.

I’ve decided to separate them into three categories:

  • Crochet
  • Amigurumi
  • Knitting

Although I don’t have a huge library it will be nice to have all my books organized.
